So last night we enjoyed a great fourth of July in a Native American themed restaurant (called SPUR) in South Africa singing Bruce Springsteens “Born in the USA” along with sparklers that the restaurant had for us! Our group took up almost half of the restaurant consisting of Thrive Africa’s staff, interns, outreach staff, and two mission teams that were here for a week or so. We had amazing cheese burgers and ice cream. It couldn’t get anymore American than that!
