John 8
I’ve been reading the book of John and today I read chapter 8. I wanted to share with you verses that God through out to me, in case any of them are for you. Some are convicting and some are encouraging in themselves.
John 8:21 – “I am going away, and you will look for me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come.”
v. 29-32 – “The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.” Even as he spoke, many put their faith in him. To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold my teachings, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will se you free.”
v.41b – “We are not illegitimate children… The only Father we have is God himself.”
v.50 – “I am not seeking glory for myself… if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.”
v.58 – “I tell you the truth… before Abraham was born, I am!”
How did God catch your eye today reading His word?

Great verses!! I always love the ‘if’ ‘then’ verses…especially that one: ‘If you hold my teachings….then you will know the truth” So true!

Thinking and praying for you all across the ocean!
@katy – Thanks so much! I agree about the if/then verses too. I also like the ‘therefore’ verses, cause then you would ask ‘what is it there for?’
