Sangoma Day

Yesterday we had a great cultural experience. We went to a Nladi, a village in Qwa Qwa, and visited a group of sangoma’s and traditional dancers. They practiced everyday for weeks to present their dancing for us. They did an amazing job. It was truly a ‘once-in-a-life-time’ experience. Here’s some photos and here are a bunch more…

  3. That has to be one of the most amazing experiences. Some of my favorite days last summer were the days I talked with sangomas.

  5. Well it wasn’t something that Thrive Africa organized. Someone who is here is researching the culture on a non-spiritual level. But it was a great experience to learn more about the culture. And it would help us understand the culture that much more so that we can be more effective in out ministry.
